ABOUT US
Scarborough Community Legal Services (SCLS) is a non profit organization dedicated to providing free legal services to low income residents in the eastern part of Scarborough, Ontario. We assist low income residents of Scarborough who live east of Midland Avenue.
Our mission is protecting and promoting the legal welfare of low income persons by offering services to the community and we have been serving the Scarborough community since 1982.
We are an independent organization that is accountable to our clients and to our community. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from our community. Board members are elected by the SCLS membership each year at our Annual General Meeting. We are funded through Legal Aid Ontario.
